Timothée Parrique holds a PhD in economics and is a specialist in the link between economy and environment. His doctoral thesis (The political economy of degrowth, 2019) focuses on the link between economic growth and social and ecological sustainability, and explores the concept of "degrowth". He is author of “Decoupling debunked - Evidence and arguments against green growth”, a report on green growth published by the European Environmental Bureau. He is also affiliated with the University of Clermont Auvergne and teaches economics at the University of Uppsala in Sweden and at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
