Thibaut Lecompte has been a lecturer at Université Bretagne-Sud in Lorient since 2006. He is director of the Eco-Materials Eco-Construction professional degree course and teaches materials engineering in the Civil Engineering and Energy bachelor and master courses. In research, he has co-directed several theses on bio-sourced and geosourced materials for the building industry (hemp-lime, hemp-earth, flax, straw, reed). He also works on the environmental assessment of these materials, and in particular on the climatic benefits linked to the temporary storage of biogenic carbon in buildings.
