CNRS Research Fellow at Laboratoire d'Optique Appliquée (CNRS, ENSTA, École Polytechnique)

Stefan Haessler is a CNRS research fellow at the Laboratoire d'Optique Appliquée (LOA*), where he and his colleagues in the "Physics of the Optical Cycle" group are experimenting with very intense laser pulses interacting with dense plasmas. Their aim is to observe and control the collective motion of electrons on the attosecond time scale. Prior to this, he worked on the measurement and control of attosecond quantum dynamics of electrons in atoms and molecules during a postdoc at TU Vienna (Austria), a PhD at CEA Saclay, and an internship at Lund University (Sweden). He is the author of over 60 scientific publications in international journals and conferences.
