Roland Rathelot is Professor of Economics at ENSAE, Institut Polytechnique de Paris. His research focuses on understanding the labor market, and in particular gender and ethnic gaps. He also uses data from employment platforms to study information deficits in the matching process between jobseekers and employers. He has held a European Research Council Consolidator Fellowship since 2023. He is also co-editor of The Economic Journal, the journal of the Royal Economic Society.
