Pierre Bourgois

Pierre Bourgois is a research associate at l’institut de recherche stratégique de l’Ecole militaire (IRSEM), l’institut de recherche Montesquieu (IRM) de l’université de Bordeaux and the Center for Global Peace and Conflict Studies (CGPACS) of the University of California. His research is mainly in the field of international relations, international security, war ethics and political theory. His research focuses on US foreign policy and security strategy, as well as on the theme of the augmented soldier, particularly in terms of its implications for democratic powers.
