Martin Julier-Costes holds a doctorate in sociology. He is an independent researcher associated with Grenoble Alpes University. His research focuses on the social treatment of death and dying (end of life, death/trepidation, rites, funerals, mourning), which he links to anthropological invariants such as order and disorder, and the separation and links between the living and the dead.
