Marie Mourad's doctoral thesis focused on the fight against food waste in France and the United States. She is currently conducting projects on sobriety and sustainable food for the French Agency for Ecological Transition (Ademe) and is assisting the City of San Francisco in the implementation of a food redistribution programme. Her research has been published in the Journal of Cleaner Production, Gouvernement et Action Publique, the collective work Une écologie de l’alimentation, The Conversation and Al-Jazeera.
