Maria Jose (Majo) Murcia (PhD, University of British Columbia; MBA, IAE Business School; BA in Economics, Universidad de Buenos Aires) is a full-time Professor at IAE Business School and at the School of Business Administration, U. Austral. She is also Visiting Professor at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She is passionate about the study of sustainability and how it can revolutionise the way we do business in today's world. In her research, she studies this complex phenomenon, using a variety of lenses and examining it at various levels: from how people conceive and mobilise sustainability challenges, to how companies and industries adapt their strategies in light of it, and how sustainability orientation can contribute to the improvement of communities and their livelihoods through social innovation. His dream is to promote from the classroom a culture of responsible leaders and citizens (not mere managers) who can respond to the challenge of global sustainability.
