Jérôme Vergne is a physicist at the École et Observatoire des Sciences de la Terre in Strasbourg and deputy director in charge of the observatories of this structure. He is responsible for the French permanent seismological network. His research activities focus on seismological imaging of the Earth's crust and mantle, natural and induced seismicity and the use of ambient seismic noise. He also teaches in various graduate courses offered by EOST and the University of Strasbourg.
