Hervé Douville

Researcher at Centre National de Recherches Météorologiques (CNRM)

Hervé Douville has spent most of his career as a researcher with the Climate unit of the Centre national de recherches météorologiques. He first worked on modeling continental surfaces, studying their interactions with the atmosphere, and assessing the associated sources of predictability. He then turned his attention to the impact of human activities on global and regional climate, in particular atmospheric circulation, the water cycle and associated extreme events. He was also coordinating author of one of the chapters of the 6th IPCC report (AR6 WG1 Ch8).
