Gerald Sanders works full time at NASA Johnson Space Center in the Propulsion and Power Division of the Engineering Directorate, working in the area of in situ resource utilization (ISRU). He received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1987. He is NASA's ISRU system capability manager and co-investigator of the human mission extension for the Mars OXygen Isru (MOXIE) experiment on the Mars 2020 rover.
