Eric Foulquier is a lecturer in Geography at the University of Western Brittany and head of the Coastal axis of the CNRS geography laboratory LETG-Brest. He holds a PhD (France, 2001) in geography of maritime transport on the theme of South American port governance. His work focuses on conflictual issues in commercial ports. Recently, he interests turned to ecological transitions, particularly those related to decarbonation. Since 2016, he has been actively contributing to the work of the Observatoire Hommes Milieux Littoral Caraïbe (Labex DRIIHM, Programme Investissement d’Avenir) and co-leads the TRAFIC program, financed by the Fondation de France (2019-2021), on the interactions between maritime traffic, port frequentation and environmental inequalities in the Caribbean.
