Doctor in cellular and molecular genetics from Pierre et Marie Curie University and a Master's degree in Biology and Applied Genetics from Denis Diderot University, Emmanuel Dequier was responsible for developing the Genopole® GIP's research programmes and technology platforms before working for the French government. He was in charge of programmes aimed at deploying bioproduction tools and developing synthetic biology and genomics in the Genopole biocluster in close collaboration with academic and industrial players. Previously, Emmanuel Dequier worked for 5 years in the biotech sector in Oxford, UK, for Summit plc. He was responsible for chemical genomics programmes in hits discovery to identify new active compounds for the treatment of rare diseases.
