Didier Bazalgette is currently a senior officer in the French Army's operational reserve, responsible for supporting innovative projects geared towards operational action. After a doctorate from INSERM and an early career in R&D in the medical field, man-machine interfaces and AI, he spent nearly three decades coordinating R&D and innovation work in the fields of AI, cognitive technologies and innovation management for the Direction Générale de l'Armement and the European Defense Agency. In this capacity, he has worked in close collaboration with numerous industrialists. Since 2016, he has accompanied Jean Langlois-Berthelot's career path as part of an in-depth study of the rise of operational sciences and their necessary interdisciplinarity.
