César Ducruet, geographer, is director of research at the CNRS. A member of the EconomiX laboratory (Paris-Nanterre), he works on the relations between networks and territories, through the analysis of port cities and maritime transport at the global level, in Europe and Asia. He regularly works as an expert for various international organisations (OECD, WHO, World Bank). He leads the ANR MAGNETICS project (2023-2026) on the joint evolution of maritime flows and coastal cities/regions.
