Cédric Thaury heads the UPX group, Ultrafast Particle Sources and X-Ray, within the Laboratoire d'Optique Appliquée* (LOA), a joint research unit (UMR) of CNRS / École Polytechnique / ENSTA Paris. His speciality is the study of electron acceleration and X-ray radiation in laser-plasma accelerators.
