Cécile Patte graduated from the École des Mines de Saint-Etienne in 2017, where she discovered the scientific disciplines of mechanics and materials, particularly their applications in the field of health. She then continued her studies with a doctorate in biomechanics from the MΞDISIM team, which was joined by Inria and the Solid mechanics laboratory (*LMS: a joint research unit of CNRS, École Polytechnique - Institut Polytechnique de Paris), during which she developed a digital lung twin to help diagnose pulmonary fibrosis. In recognition of her work, she was awarded the 2020 Young Talents France For Women in Science l'Oréal-Unesco prize.
