Aymeric Erades is currently a doctoral student in computer science, specializing in vision and visualization computation at LIRIS (Laboratoire d'informatique en image et systèmes d'information)/École centrale de Lyon, under the supervision of Romain Vuillemot. His work focuses on improving the performance of professional athletes using televised match broadcasts. He is studying three main issues: how can we automatically extract data from broadcast matches? How to analyze the extracted data? And how to create visualizations that are both rich and easy to understand?
All his research has been applied to table tennis, in partnership with the French Table Tennis Federation, to help French national teams understand match outcomes and prepare for future matches. They are part of the sciences 2024 dynamic to prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
