Anne Trémier's work initially focused on the composting process and now concerns more broadly the understanding, design and technical and environmental optimisation of organic waste recovery systems. Her projects deal in particular with the management and recovery of urban bio-waste. She has thus developed a solid expertise on the integration of domestic or proximity composting as a solution for the management of urban biowaste and coordinated from 2016 to the end of 2021 the European project DECISIVE (H2020 no. 689229), which aimed to establish a circular system favouring the local management of biowaste in connection with urban agriculture, with a view to the production of energy and bioproducts, for local consumption.
