Ane Aanesland is a deeptech entrepreneur with a strong background in scientific research. At ThrustMe, a space startup she founded in 2017, Ane is responsible for the vision and strategic positioning, commercial activities, investor relations and more generally for the growth of the company. In 2020, ThrustMe became the first company to demonstrate an iodine-powered electric propulsion system in space and is now supplying products to customers worldwide. An international expert in plasma physics, Ane has led a research team at École Polytechnique in France, and conducted research at the Australian National University. She holds a PhD in physics from the Arctic University of Norway. The Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) awarded her the Medal for Innovation in 2019.
